Am I the crazy one?

As part of its war on anti-racism, the Musk/Trump regime is censoring books used in the DoD's school library for "gender ideology or discriminatory equity ideology topics."  We already know what this means:  books by or about Black, Latino or LGBTQ people because to acknowledge their existence is offensive to MAGA.  Yesterday we learned that one of the offending books is Freckleface Strawberry by the actor Julianne Moore, who didn't like being ginger-haired and freckled as a girl.  Is it really so bad to have these characteristics, or is this just another case of someone panicking for no reason?  I mean red hair and freckles, that's about as white as you can get.  That's peeling-skin-after-an-hour-in-the-sun white.

This is how my brain is being messed with:  I think it connects to Trump's hatred of Prince Harry, whose ginger hair is often cited as "proof" that King Charles could not possibly be his biological father.  That's not how genetics works, particularly in a family tree as tangled as the Windsors' -- for one thing, Princess Diana was related to the red-haired Churchills.  Trump adores royalty and brags continually about his "close friendship" with the late Queen Elizabeth based on one tea and a state dinner (and her incomparable good manners) and Harry has been responsible for considerable dissension in the family stemming from their treatment of his African American wife.  The Department of Homeland Security is pestering a judge to let them look into Harry's visa application with an eye to deportation, an effort which just happens to have started with the Heritage Foundation.  Trump may believe screwing the Sussexes would get him some sort of royal recognition, maybe an honorary knighthood.

Something tells me I'm overthinking this, but who can even tell anymore?  Every day reality gets a little weirder.  Peace talks have opened in the Russia-Ukraine war, but no Ukrainians have been invited to participate.  The loudest voices against cuts to Medicare and Medicaid so far have been Josh Hawley and Steve Bannon.  Truth Social lost over $4 million last year but still has the resources to sue a supreme court justice in Brazil for allegedly censoring right-wing speech (that Justice Alexandre de Moraes is also overseeing the corruption case against Jair Bolsonaro is pure coincidence).  A Republican senator, Roger Wicker, says Putin should be "indicted and prosecuted and jailed, possibly executed."

I'm turning into this guy.

Maybe the Ukrainians weren't invited, maybe they just refused to show up based on a demand for "repayment" of $500 billion.  The last time we helped Europe fight fascism we paid them:  $13.3 billion known as the Marshall Plan for rebuilding the continent (except our ally Britain).  Now Musk/Trump, who did nothing but call Zelensky names and lick the taint of his enemy, want not only the country's mineral wealth but control of its ports and infrastructure "in legal perpetuity."  In short, our very own colony in the heart of Europe with no foot-dragging Danes or Greenlanders, a place for Kushner to "develop" without having to deport a lot of annoying Palestinians first.  This is obscene.

How is the felonious rapist getting revenge on JFK today?  I'm glad you asked.  The National Archives called the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston with an order (DOGE, of course) to lay off all probationary employees.  The library has closed its doors "until further notice."  Here's another funny coincidence:  Only yesterday the Florida state senate advanced a bill to prevent local authorities from exercising any oversight on the Trump presidential library when it is eventually built.  Insert bitter joke here.  At least the Kennedy School of Government is part of Harvard University, whose massive endowment should insulate it from Boer butchery.  I won't be surprised if the Kennedy family gets a bill for the eternal flame at JFK's grave.

In spite of all the horror, Ukrainians have kept their sense of humor.  When the demands from the gangsters in Washington arrived, one official offered to send some of the country's surplus eggs instead of minerals.  Egg prices have risen by 37.49 percent since the beginning of 2025, reaching nearly $8 a dozen.  "I had nothing to do with it," protested Trump when asked about inflation in general.  He also had nothing to do with the 143,000 jobs added in January, but for that HM will happily take credit.

Yes, I said HM.  New York City's brief, happy experiment with "congestion pricing" to cut down on midtown traffic and raise funds for public transit, has vanished like the mayor's legal problems.  "CONGESTION PRICING IS DEAD," read the edict on Truth Social.  "Manhattan, and all of New York, is SAVED.  LONG LIVE THE KING!"  Hold the knighthood, cue the trumpets.

The black border is a nice touch.  America, 1776-2025.  RIP
