Going out of business
With polls sounding a death knell and red-hats leaving his rallies like they left the oven on, Trump has dimly seen his future. That's why Trumpworld is holding a sale on all Bibles, gold sneakers (pre- and post-assassination styles), Victory47 cologne ("My eyes! My eyes!") and the limited-edition Trump diapers:
Get a jump on your Christmas shopping and remember who made it possible to say "Merry Christmas" again with a fabulous Trump Victory Tourbillon watch, only $100,000. Three colors, 122 diamonds, only 147 available. Or a shoddier version for $499 if you're impoverished by Bidenomics. Profits will not go to the campaign, the website says, and when has Trump ever lied?
"Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of Congress -- but I repeat myself," said Mark Twain, who died in 1910, so maybe it's always been this way. Tommy Tuberville, football's worst mistake, thinks Kamala Harris should drop out of the race because she gave an answer to a question about economics and he couldn't understand it. If that were the criterion, all political discussion would be replaced by grunts and cricket noises, and the occasional "Hut! Hut!"
Trump couldn't even hear it. In Mint Hill, North Carolina, he insisted that "she just talked about, like, the birds and the bees...there was never any knowledge." She didn't even use the magic word "tariffs," the taxes other countries pay us because we are so awesome.
The House version of Tuberville, Clay Higgins, was busy on the Musk machine amplifying the hate that has roiled Springfield, Ohio:
"Lol. These Haitians are wild. Eating pets, vudu [sic], nastiest country in the western hemisphere, cults, slapstick gangsters," the Donald Pleasence impersonator wrote. "But damned if they don't feel all sophisticated now, filing charges against our President and VP. All these thugs better get their mind right and their ass out of our country before January 20th." Some not-insane Congressmen objected and called for censure, if not expulsion, but Little Mike assured them that ol' Clay had "prayed on it" and deleted his outburst, though not before offering to write something worse. Johnson, Kennedy, Higgins -- I can't imagine why Louisiana trails the other states in every category except mildew.Racism and stupidity feed off each other -- remember how Sikhs, Latinos, anyone swarthy and/or bearded was fair game for assault after 9/11? Not much has changed.
Wrong people, wrong Springfield -- this one is in Missouri. God help us indeed.
The people who think China pays us tariffs also think we control the government of Ukraine. Not satisfied with ginning up an investigation into Zelenskyy's trip to Pennsylvania, Little Mike is demanding that he "immediately fire" his ambassador to the US. He'd love it if Ukraine would also surrender to Putin and embrace Mother Russia, but one thing at a time.
Today's the day Jack Smith files his 180-page dossier detailing Trump's attempted coup of 2021. It's up to Judge Tanya Chutkan to decide how much of it we get to enjoy. So why would the thoroughly politicized, weaponized Biden Justice Department choose today to announce the indictment of Mayor Eric Adams for bribery, corruption and being too cozy with Turkey? Don't they know how to weaponize? It's been a bad day generally for New York mayors, with the official disbarment of Rudolph Giuliani.
Can't improve, wouldn't try.Even though the "assassin" didn't get off a shot, the New York Times says Trump will no longer play golf on his own courses. He must truly be rattled, considering how much bank he made renting golf carts to Secret Service agents and probably charging them for water and food. Giving up a grift -- this is serious. Maybe he should have his head examined.
Are you ok? Starting to worry here...
