The fallout continues

 Let's see how our lawmakers and pundits are handling the criminal justice news:

"We have to be willing to fight back.  We need to be subpoenaing Judge Merchan and his daughter."  (J.D. Vance, Ohio life-form)  You know nothing about the law.  Also, get John Roberts to tell you about "judicial independence."

"New York is a liberal shit hole."  (Jim Banks, freshman Hoosier)  Elise Stefanik and Carl "Hitler is the kind of leader we need" Paladino are going to be pissed.

"He has to appeal first through the New York system and the New York system are all judges that don't want to be responsible for freeing Donald Trump.  These are people with their families.  These are people that don't want to be Dershowitzed.  People know what happened to me when I defended Trump on the floor of the Senate.  Nobody on Martha's Vineyard would speak to me, Harvard Law School cancelled me after I'd been there for fifty years and judges don't want that to happen to them.  So I am not encouraged that he'll get a fair appeal."  Judges are not afraid of being doxed, SWATted or killed, they're afraid they won't be invited to the best parties.  Got it.  "Dershowitzed"?

"It's time for Republican DAs in red states to grow a pair of balls and start indicting Democrats.  No other response is acceptable.  Time to fight fire with fire."  (Clay Travis, Rush Limbaugh wannabe)  Yeah, Clay, that's how the law works.  They send one of yours to the hospital, you send one of theirs to the morgue.  You are a idiot.

"I do believe the Supreme Court should step in, obviously.  This is totally unprecedented and it's dangerous to our system."  (Mike Johnson, temporary Speaker of the House)  I didn't think Mike was as stupid as that.  I was wrong.

"They are the Gestapo.  We're in Venezuela.  We might as well be in China.  We might as well be in Germany in the 30s and 40s.  It is corrupt, is the Gestapo...and because of what happened to me these other AGs are afraid to do anything anyway....They have become organized crime."  (Ken Paxton, hysteric)  They are, of course, the FBI.  Totally politicized, don't fight crime anymore...hey, Ken, that's what the left said about Hoover's FBI in the 50s and 60s.  You can't please everyone.

"Republicans have done NOTHING to stop the Democrats from destroying our justice system and our freedoms.  Many Republicans would just quote the Constitution as they are marched to the firing squad.  When good men do nothing, evil prevails."  (Margie Greene, apparently calling for more violence)  No Constitution quoting!  Except the Second Amendment.

Jim Jordan isn't doing NOTHING.  He wrote to Alvin Bragg to "respectfully request" his testimony at an afternoon game show called "Hearing on the Weaponization of the Federal Government."  Mr. Bragg's respectful request that Jordan take a flying fuck is almost certainly in the mail, as he does not work for the federal government.

"Evil has overplayed its hand."  (Mike Lindell)  His reasoning is a little hard to follow but that's nothing new.  "You can't beat this for publicity if you want to expose something."  Now every Democrat he knows is promising to vote for Trump, exposed as a criminal.  Multi-dimensional chess, or maybe Candyland.

"We know there was a Biden administration connection with the lawyer, Colangelo, doing the prosecution -- whether Soros was involved in any way and just how crooked this whole show trial was."  There you go, George Soros, the Napoleon of crime and president emeritus of the Learned Elders of Zion.  Come on down and get your prize, Jesse Watters!  (That's Anthony J. Sing us out, Jeanine!  "In the end, with all the smoke and mirrors and thirty-four counts and a hooker, and a guy, according to a federal judge, is a serial perjurer, we have convicted a former President of the United States of America!  We've gone over a cliff!"  (Jeanine Pirro)  Calm down, judge, have another drink.  Yeah, isn't it great?  At least for today, no one is above the law.  And Stormy is not a hooker.
