Stop, in the name of accountability

 Two years ago Arizona passed a law making it illegal to film police from less than eight feet away.  A federal judge overturned it after a suit by the ACLU.  Now Louisiana has a law which forbids filming police from within twenty-five feet of whatever they're doing.  It seems police and their friends in the legislatures fear more cases like the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, which might have passed unpunished without Darnella Frazier and her iPhone.  

Trump has been preoccupied with the RIGGED, ILLEGAL criminal trial personally supervised by Joe Biden, the mastermind who barely knows where he is.  He was late hearing about Sketchy Sam Alito and his flag collection (which are all controlled by the missus, she loves flags, Sam doesn't even know what one looks like).  Today he got the story and is thrilled to have the great jurist on his team:

Alito's fellow Trumper John Roberts responded to a letter from Dick Durbin and Sheldon Whitehouse of the Senate Judiciary Committee, saying it would be "inadvisable" even to discuss the staggering illegitimacy of the court nominally identified as his.  Something about "separation of powers" and "judicial independence."  He didn't say who advised him against the meeting, but he didn't have to.  I wonder if the Trump Bible he hopes to use in January to initiate the New Order had a check inside when it was delivered.

Today in Slate Bill Pruitt confirms the shocking news that Trump is a racist.  According to Pruitt, a producer of The Apprentice, someone praised a contestant named Kwame Jackson and Trump responded, "Yeah, but I mean, would America buy a n----- winning?"  Pruitt says there's audiotape.  Klaxons sounded at Newsmax and Greg Kelly immediately brought up Barack Obama's use of n----- to make a point about racism in 2015.  Totally equivalent, let's move on.

As he waits for the jury to decide his fate, Trump has a new target for ketchup-flinging rages:  Robert DeNiro, who appears in a Biden campaign ad and went to the courthouse to call him a tyrant and a coward.  Did you know his movies have "gone WAY DOWN IN VALUE" and he's "small, both mentally and physically"?  The blarp ends, weirdly, "Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio!!!"  That's no way to write about someone who played "the late great Alphonse Capone."

It looks like the Monster Raving Loony Party of America is pursuing its demented theory that Anthony Fauci plotted with China to create covid and ruin Trump's chances of re-election.  House subcommittee chair Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) wants Fauci's private emails and phone records before he appears on Monday to answer their very serious questions and listen to them perform for the C-SPAN camera.  Expect him to be interrogated on Ebola, the Black Death in the 14th century, and why the government is hiding the truth about UFOs.

 With Trump and his silk pajamas in recess, the political story of the day must be  Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.,  sharing the story that a worm crawled into his brain, ate some of it and died.  The New York Times says it obtained a deposition from his 2012 divorce case and came across this nugget.  At the time of the parasite's discovery, doctors said he also had mercury poisoning, probably from eating a lot of fish.  In the deposition Kennedy says, "I have short-term memory loss and I have longer-term memory loss that affects me."  At least he doesn't blame the worm on vaccines.  Even before his stalking horse earned the nickname Worm Brain, things were going Trump's way.  His boutique judge  Aileen Cannon  postponed indefinitely the stolen documents case that mean old Jack Smith is waiting to present because she has to study eight pending motions from the defense and she's just stumped by their  "novel and difficult questions." ...
