Sudden death syndrome

 This is the report we stay up late for, the Presidential Greatness Project Expert Survey, the experts being people who bothered to respond to an online survey by political scientists (fewer than thirty percent).  Lincoln is still at the top, Trump at the bottom, with Biden a very respectable fourteenth.  I hope Jimmy Carter knows he is now considered the most underrated.  

Here's why the twice-impeached, multiply-indicted, legally-adjudged rapist brings up the rear:  "The sudden death of Alexei Navalny has made me more and more aware of what is happening in our Country.  It is a slow, steady progression, with CROOKED, Radical Left Politicians, Prosecutors, and Judges leading us down a path of destruction.  Open Borders, Rigged Elections, and Grossly Unfair Courtroom Decisions are DESTROYING AMERICA.  WE ARE A NATION IN DECLINE, A FAILING NATION!  MAGA!"  

Whether it's Navalny's "sudden death" or the first Waffle House shooting of the year, everything reminds Trump of his bottomless store of grievances and complaints.  Fortunately there's intrepid trucker Chicago Ray, who was so enraged by the CORRUPT AND UNFAIR judgment handed down last week that he organized fellow MAGAts to refuse hauling deliveries to New York City.  That should show Judge Engoron and his Schumer-dating clerk!  Needless to say, Greedy Amin is delighted.

Like Captain Renault and Major Strasser, the Russian authorities can't decide how Navalny died.  But they won't release his body until fourteen days of "chemical analysis" are complete.  There's only one pathologist in the country and he just had an accident while cleaning the window.  Meanwhile Navalny's mother was told he died from "sudden death syndrome," like so many other inmates of Putin's Russia.

What Charles Pierce calls the prion disease of the Republicans was not introduced into the hive by Trump, of course.  Today's proof comes from Newt Gingrich, who still prefers Xitter to Ministry of Truth Social.  He Xitted, "Watch the Biden Administration speak out against Putin and his jailing of his leading political opponent while Democrats in four different jurisdictions try to turn President [sic] Trump into an American Navalny."  Yes, if they can't convict him -- and so far they're two for two -- he'll be killed.  Can we count on that, Neuter?  Trump-pardoned felon Dinesh D'Souza spells it out for the slower MAGAts:  "Navalny=Trump.  The plan of the Biden regime [sic] and the Democrats is to ensure their leading political opponent dies in prison.  There's no real difference between the two cases."  If that's true, let's ship Donzo off to Guantanamo this afternoon.  In the catastrophic event of a second Trump term you can be damn sure Camp X-ray would be filled with his "political opponents" before the first inaugural ball.

Possibly encouraged by these semi-useful idiots, Putin struck again today.  A Russian helicopter pilot named Maxim Kuzminov, who defected to Ukraine last year, was shot and killed in the parking garage of his home in Villajoyosa, Spain.  Another case of sudden death syndrome.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen follows the news.  She announced that Denmark will send its entire stock of artillery shells to Ukraine and urged other countries to do the same.  The Czech president says he may oblige.  Avdiivka fell last week and the Russians have begun killing prisoners of war, as they do.

Unable to bring order to the fractious high school formerly known as the House of Representatives, Principal Johnson announced a winter recess and sent the kids home.  No foreign aid/border bill vote, no budget beyond March 1, but he still has his job, unlike Principal McCarthy.  A very successful term.  

Two dozen masked Nazis marched through downtown Nashville Saturday.  Did you see anything on the "news"?  But they made sure to promote Trump's gilded high-tops.
