Angels and demons

 The days grow short, the wind carries a chill, and like our remotest ancestors we wonder if we will see the sun again.  We perform rituals of renewal and rebirth.  We think of the unseen world.  And in the bleak mid-winter we get a little spooked.  It's no accident that our best-known Christmas story begins, "Marley was dead, to begin with."  A door knocker becomes a face becomes a knocker again.  We see what we want to see.

Someone at InfoWars, where I turn for spiritual renewal, reported on the funeral of Rosalynn Carter yesterday, which was attended by all the living former First Ladies and Dr. Jill Biden.  All wore black except Melania Trump, but perhaps white is the color of mourning in Slovenia as it is in China.  We know from her White House Christmas decoration days that Mrs. T's color sense is -- idiosyncratic.  Light gray, actually, but when God caused his light to shine upon her...


You probably thought it was her adulterous, lying, rapy husband who represents divine grace on earth, but that's because you are not among the saved.  Look at Melania.  Look at her!  Have you no eyes to see? 

Which brings us to the online home of the prophet Alex Jones and its headline:  "MELANIA TRUMP CAST IN ANGELIC LIGHT AT ROSALYNN CARTER FUNERAL AS 'EVIL' FIRST LADIES WEAR BLACK, LURK IN SHADOWS."  The quotes around "evil" suggest that even at InfoWars they couldn't take this seriously, although their readers sure did.  And they found the time to include a reference to "Michelle 'Big Mike' Obama" because it is an article of faith among the unhinged that Obama is gay, his wife is a man and their daughters are, I don't know, imps from a Bosch painting maybe.  (It's a good thing racism is a thing of the past or someone might find that a little racist.)  She and Hillary Clinton wore pants suits, so there you go.  

Back in Washington the White House Christmas decorations were revealed for military and National Guard families, including 98 trees and 72 wreaths, numbers no doubt freighted with satanic significance which will soon be revealed to us.  This year's theme is "Magic, Wonder and Joy," and we all know magic is evil and evil is everywhere.  Ask Father Dan Reehil of Nashville at LifeSiteNews, a Catholic site that considers Torquemada a wimp.  Father Dan is imploring Taylor Swift to come to Jesus and stop making the girls who admire her turn into witches and practice witchcraft and generally witch around.  He's an exorcist and therefore an expert in popular music.  Here it is, if you can take it:

It's pretty clear what heaven thinks about Jill Biden and her so-called magic and wonder -- lo, a mighty wind blew down the 40-foot National Christmas Tree on the White House Ellipse!  Fox & Fiends -- sorry, Friends -- thought it was hilarious.  Wait -- doesn't Biden control the weather? 

Now this is a miracle -- a slice of toast bearing the image of Marlene Dietrich.


Somewhere, there is a Church of Marlene.  As there should be.

 With Trump and his silk pajamas in recess, the political story of the day must be  Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.,  sharing the story that a worm crawled into his brain, ate some of it and died.  The New York Times says it obtained a deposition from his 2012 divorce case and came across this nugget.  At the time of the parasite's discovery, doctors said he also had mercury poisoning, probably from eating a lot of fish.  In the deposition Kennedy says, "I have short-term memory loss and I have longer-term memory loss that affects me."  At least he doesn't blame the worm on vaccines.  Even before his stalking horse earned the nickname Worm Brain, things were going Trump's way.  His boutique judge  Aileen Cannon  postponed indefinitely the stolen documents case that mean old Jack Smith is waiting to present because she has to study eight pending motions from the defense and she's just stumped by their  "novel and difficult questions." ...
