More bad news

As the BIDEN stock market continues to surge -- just under 39,000 for today -- one lonely social media platform is dying.  Trump Media lost another 12% today with a share price of $30.69.  Despite being host to many all-caps rants about DEGENERATES and LOSERS, despite the skilled guidance of dairy farmer Devin Nunes, DJT (as it's known on the Street) is acting more like 2008 than 2024.  After paying himself a generous bonus Nunes followed the Trump approach:  blame everyone else.  He wants the SEC and Congress to investigate what he's pretty sure is big investors deliberately tanking the stock to ruin the small investors and make Trump and Nunes look bad.  Apparently even ass-kissers like Margie Greene avoid the place in favor of Xitter, which is also where Melania advertises her jewelry.  Since Elon welcomed all the nazis and QAnons back, who needs TRUTH SOCIAL?  But Nunes has a cunning plan:  TS will soon stream old TV shows unavailable elsewhere.  Scott Baio fans, sign up now!

I don't claim to be an expert in these matters, but it seems like if you go to Detroit in search of Black votes, it might be a good idea to leave Turning Point USA and its flag behind.  Maybe Martha Alito will look after it for you.

There were mass shootings last weekend in Detroit and Chicago, but that's every weekend.  What reopened the gun control debate and inadvertently helped Democrats was the Supreme Court bump stock ruling.  Someone buy Clarence Thomas a speedboat!  (Cartoon by Andy Marlette, Pensacola News Journal)

Daily Kos has compiled a handy guide to the places Trump hates, or hates the most.  You can play a game:  Match the city, state or territory with the hyperbolic abuse ("worse than Afghanistan," "a ghost town," "crime ridden death trap," "ridiculous crime infested and breeding trap" and my favorite, "the place is a mess, nothing works").  How do tens of millions of people manage to live, work, raise families and even enjoy themselves in these ruins?  And he doesn't mention Jackson, Mississippi, or Flint (except to slander Michigan generally), where potable water is still a problem.  Apparently there's no place fit to live except Palm Beach and a few square miles of Dallas.

According to Trump, whole categories of Americans owe him their votes because he has been so good for them -- Jews, African Americans, Latinos, and now corporate executives.  "Business Executives and Shareholder Representatives should be 100% behind Donald Trump!  Anybody that's not should be FIRED for incompetence!"  After a meeting last week CEOs were saying things like "Trump doesn't know what he's talking about" and "could not keep a straight thought and was all over the map."  Asked why he promised to lower the corporate tax rate from 21% to 20% he apparently said, "Well, it's a round number."  This is Trump the genius billionaire, you understand, not Rufus T. Firefly.  ("I still say we gotta take up the tax before we take up the carpet.")

The cult are busting it trying to undermine, predict and generally befog the June 24 debate.  Dr. Ronny Johnson (ne Jackson) predicted that Biden will be on a "cocktail" of drugs including Adderall and Provigil.  He predicted it on perhaps the worst possible place, Junior Trump's podcast, where the drunk who brawls at rodeos displayed a detailed knowledge of amphetamines to Colombia's best customer.  A Xitter account styling itself the Washington Reporter says the Biden campaign is negotiating to allow him to sit during the debate.  (Sit?  On all that speed he wouldn't be able to stand still.)  An increasingly panicky Sean Hannity continues to demand a drug test -- not of Trump, of course -- and complains it will be "three on one" because the moderators are not Murdoch-approved.  If his Russian handlers didn't show Trump how to beat a drug test, what good are they?   Lara Trump came along to portray daddy-in-law as a perpetual underdog who once again Shall Overcome despite the rank unfairness of it all:  "Look at what he actually accomplished."  (Covid!  Pardons!  Who else warned us about windmill cancer?)  They can't seem to get together on a narrative.  It's another version of Biden the Evil Wizard who oversees all criminal prosecutions but can't tie his shoes.  It's doublethink, and it's here.
