All the best people

Tomorrow is my birthday -- thank you -- and I just got the best present a blogger could ask for:  I'm a domestic terrorist!

According to a document obtained from the Bondi Department and published by Ken Klippenstein, this encompasses anyone whose views are "anti-Christianity, anti-capitalism, adherence to radical gender ideology, hostility toward traditional views on family, religion and morality, and views in favor of mass migration and open borders."  I feel seen.

Bondi is ordering law enforcement to prioritize combatting us and refer us to the Joint Terrorism Task Forces.  Fortunately the JTTF is led by K$H Patel's FBI, so they probably wouldn't know an anti-capitalist from Auntie Mame.   Pammy pays lip service to the First Amendment but I suspect she's not going to let it slow her down.

All because a man in Utah from an impeccable Republican-LDS background was so unhappy about Charlie Kirk's anti-trans position that he decided to kill him.  There is no evidence that his act involved anyone else except maybe the clerk at his local gun store, but Dear Leader's handlers identified their Reichstag fire moment and decided the shooter was part of a huge left-wing conspiracy bankrolled by George Soros and involving all progressive non-profits including Camp Fire and the YM/YWHA.

More than 300,000 people in Missouri have signed petitions calling for a referendum on the MAGA gerrymandering ordered by Trump.  Bondi is going to need a bigger gulag.

It's already started.  Today Kristi Noem told Sean Hannity that her gang and the Bondi Department are investigating Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani to see if he committed a terrorism by advising New Yorkers -- with Spanish subtitles! -- that they have legal rights which ICE will try to ignore.  Even using the word "rights" is halfway to being a crime.  The goal is to hustle people off to El Salvador before they have a chance to alert family members or employers, much less a lawyer.

I don't want to pretend that we aren't frightening.  Bride of Miller had to call the Arlington, Virginia, police after she and Stephen received "terroristic threats" at their home.  "We will not cower in fear," she proclaimed.  Of course the Arlington PD sent some woke cop whose report said the blood-curdling threats were "non-threatening and alluded to political issues such as immigration, transgender rights, DEI and white supremacy."  That's right, their sidewalk was attacked with chalk.  Not even an unwanted pizza.  The same thing happened to Susan Collins in 2022 when the Women's Health Protection Act was coming up for a vote and she survived.

MAGA are so secure in the rightness of their positions that any hint of disagreement or criticism drives them into a frenzy.  ABC News needs its own Bari Weiss so Rachel Scott will stop infuriating Dear Leader with questions about that elusive "double tap" video of shipwreck survivors being murdered.  What could a stable jenius say but "You are the most obnoxious reporter in the whole place.  Let me just tell you, you are an obnoxious [he caught himself] -- actually a terrible reporter.  And it's always the same thing with you.  I told you, whatever Pete Hegseth wants to do is OK with me."  The N word is coming, it's a matter of time.  The video in question is on Bondi's desk next to the Epstein file.

Tomorrow is Human Rights Day and Civicus, which monitors civic freedoms in 198 countries, has downgraded the Land of the Fee from "narrowed" to "obstructed."  This signals "a sharp deterioration of fundamental freedoms...following a year of sweeping executive actions, restrictive laws and aggressive crackdowns on free speech and dissent."  We can look forward to "repressed" and "closed."  Basically we're Turkey headed for Turkmenistan.

At least Honduras is making an effort in the right direction.  Its attorney general issued an arrest warrant for Juan Orlando Hernandez on charges of money laundering and fraud.  It's remarkable how many recipients of Trump pardons wind up getting nabbed again, especially the January 6 crowd.  I think this is the first ex-head of state.

Just when you thought the White House couldn't be trashed any worse, Trump released this preview of the shitshow planned for his birthday, "eight or nine championship" UFC cage matches.  You don't see anything like this at the Elysee Palace.  At least there won't be another bathetic military parade.  Jean Shepherd would have recognized it as the triumph of Slob Art.

"Charlie Kirk was assassinated and our military was involved," says Candace Owens and she is ready to "blow this case open."  Thanks a lot, Australia, if you had given Owens a visa she'd be in Alice Springs right now ranting about Mossad and chemtrails and generally entertaining the locals.  Or dying of dehydration in the Outback, who cares which?  Do cage matches employ round girls?

Tomorrow is also Dewey Decimal Day, the birthday of Melvil Dewey.  I didn't really appreciate the Dewey decimal system until I was looking through the 940s one day (twentieth century history - World War II, I believe) and there was Spike Milligan's memoir Adolf Hitler:  My Part in His Downfall, not far from the works of Eisenhower and Montgomery.  I still can't decide if the cataloguer had a dry sense of humor or none at all.
