The Guardian reports that the Ziklag group, "a secretive Christian nationalist organization," spent a load of money on a talk show called Talk Show with Eric Metaxas designed to lure viewers away from the woke Marxists dominating the networks.  It died the death, despite guest stars like Danny Bonaduce, Carrot Top and Victoria Jackson.  Ziklag poured $12 million into Trump's campaign, which is probably why they couldn't afford a decent set.

Undaunted, Turning Point USA, riding high on the Kirk assassination, says it will produce its own counter-half time show during the Superbowl with the irresistible title Celebrating Faith, Family, and Freedom.  Performers to be announced, possibly including Danny Bonaduce, Carrot Top and Victoria Jackson.  Brought to you by:

Bad Bunny backlash took a legislative turn as Margie Greene demanded an English-only law be passed before February to prevent him slipping any of that satanic Spanish onto America's airways.  (But didn't Trump's executive order already make English official?  And didn't he just this week pressure YouTube to restore the Univision channel?)  If it becomes illegal to sing in a language other than English, most of the nation's opera companies are screwed.  

The internet has been having fun with Puppy-killer's assertion about arresting the girlfriend of an antifa "founder."  At first I was concerned about how they dragged his (or her) identity out of the girlfriend. Then I remembered the story about the deportee last summer who began eating himself and I felt foolish for believing anything she says.  DHS also released a video purporting to show the violence they face in Chicago, but someone pointed out that the Windy City has no palm trees.  A bigger budget than State and they can't find anyone who's good with the details.

This is the third Trump government shutdown, equaling his record for impeachments, but it feels different since John Roberts and the gang gave him permission to ad lib.  Today at a Trumpanzee "roundtable" Trump boasted about making up laws:  "We took the freedom of speech away because that's been through the courts and the courts said 'you have freedom of speech'"--hang on, wasn't that the First Amendment? -- "but what has happened is when you burn a flag it agitates and irritates crowds -- never seen anything like it, on both sides -- and you end up with riots...we're looking at it not from the freedom of speech, which I always felt strongly about, but never passed the courts."  This word salad means, of course, freedom of speech is for what I agree with, which isn't at all what Madison had in mind.

Little Mike does it too, when he suggests that hospitals should ignore the federal law from 1986 which requires them to provide emergency care to all, regardless of immigration status.  We used to have a process for passing and repealing laws.  If we don't have it anymore, we don't have anything.  The danger is that Roberts and the gang will say that since Trump shut down the government and laws weren't being debated, executive order (formerly royal fiat) was the only alternative.

In a few days Trump heads back to Walter Reed for some procedure that his keepers are calling an annual physical, at least the second one this year.  It would be wrong to speculate, or to hope.
