Is that all you've got?

Mamdanimania has already taken a weird turn as interstellar life form Todd Starnes rages about his table manners.  "The so-called 'man of the people' was recently filmed eating food with his fingers and talking with fake Middle Eastern accents...maybe he's just an antisemitic communist slob."  Apparently he was eating rice with his fingers, outraging Brandon Gill (R-TX).  "Civilized people in America don't eat like this.  If you refuse to adopt western customs, go back to the third world."  (Remember, Texas.)   He got scolded by Dinesh D'Souza, too:  "Indians sometimes eat rice with their hands in India, but it's much more common in rural areas."  What next?  Does he wear briefs instead of boxers?  Does he say "NY-ther" instead of "NEE-ther" like some kind of foreigner?  New York survived eight years of Bill DiBlasio, who was observed eating pizza with a knife and fork.  I think it will more than survive Mamdani.

Also on the topic of food, Waffle House dropped the 50-cent surcharge for eggs which it added last February and Trump is doing cartwheels (figuratively) over this triumph.  "Thank you President Trump!" Trump wrote on Ministry of Truth Social, drawing no criticism from the etiquette critics cited above.  ("Dictators suffering from dementia frequently praise themselves but it's much more common in North Korea.")  The elegant cuisine at Waffle House is the choice of many MAGAts for special occasions like Meemaw's third wedding or Little Wayne completing the fourth grade at last.  They also appreciate the unbreakable syrup bottles.

Sticky Fingers Loeffler has moved on but insider trading continues to flourish in Congress.  Rob Bresnahan (R-PA) dumped his stock in Centene, an intermediary for government-sponsored healthcare programs, when it became apparent that nothing would save Medicaid.  Centene has since lost 43% of its stock value.  Who says MAGAts are stupid?

Like all developmentally delayed playground bullies, Trump is above all obsessed with physical appearance, so when Jamie Raskin called him on the Bullshit Billionaires' Bill he responded by calling him "ugly."  Said Raskin, "I don't like being called ugly by Donald Trump but not everybody can live up to his exquisite levels of handsomeness and personal physical grace."  Which is beautiful.

It's wildfire season in California but the National Guard firefighting crews are operating at 40% of normal strength.  Since the Guard was nationalized to prevent the supposed burning of Los Angeles, it has been involved in such emergencies as raiding pot farms in the Coachella Valley.  Piss-drunk Pete has graciously released 150 members to fight real fires.  I know Trump hates California but I didn't think he was this machiavellian.

And this is why the ICEstapo needed special protection.  When told to leave Ruben Salazar High School in El Rancho, ten of them parked their vehicles and were filmed urinating in the parking lot, in view of the adjoining preschool playground.  Does ICE recruit out of prisons like the Russian army?

Trump continues to rage impotently (not a word he likes) at Jerome Powell because he can't be fired or frightened into quitting.  Now he wants Congress (James "Root, hog!" Comer) to investigate him for "political bias."  Comer needs to find out who appointed this RADICAL LEFT LUNATIC in 2018.  Wait, what?

Merit Street Media has filed bankruptcy blaming Trinity Broadcasting Network and TCT Ministries for backing out of its financial obligations.  No more Dr. Fool McGraw?  One can hope.

Stephen Miller was so enraged when the Dodgers kicked the ICEstapo out of their parking lot that he formed a cabal to sue them for their DEI policies.  Not only do they allow black and Latino players to take jobs from mediocre white men, they have a Japanese player who hits and pitches like some kind of atomic mutant Babe Ruth.  Check out Shohei Ohtani's stats and tell me the Dodgers don't hate America.

Also in sports, there's a new one sweeping Gaza.  When starving people gather at distribution points for food, US contractors open up with stun grenades and rubber bullets.  Two contractors came forward anonymously to the Associated Press because they were "disturbed" by this practice.  Bibi is outsourcing his atrocities and we're picking up the tab, even though we apparently can't afford food stamps and Medicaid for Americans.

If I can get hold of sackcloth and ashes, I plan to celebrate the birth of my country appropriately.  See you next week.
