Year of the snake

 In lieu of a snake, Roadkill Bob brought Biff the Brainworm to the Senate Finance Committee, where they both lied their asses off about being anti-vax Luddites.  Michael Bennet (D-CO) provided the voice of sanity, questioning RB on his vaccine theories and why his own children are vaccinated -- but he didn't stop there.  Kennedy lied about saying covid was engineered to spare Chinese people and Ashkenazi Jews.  Kennedy lied about calling Lyme disease a bioweapon.  Kennedy lied about his belief that exposure to pesticides causes children to become transgendered.  Kennedy was shocked to be reminded that he thinks African AIDS is not the same as AIDS elsewhere.  Kennedy denied his support for a woman's right to choose, the only humane position he has ever taken.  Now "every abortion is a tragedy," apparently.  

Ron Wyden (D-OR) inquired about the measles outbreak in American Samoa, which Kennedy managed to make much worse by encouraging the use of children as test subjects.  He couldn't get a straight answer either.  Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) asked if he supports EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act), which requires hospitals to provide emergency care regardless of ability to pay.  Congress enacted it in 1986 but he doesn't seem to know about it.  Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) was curious about the payments he gets from Wisner Baum, a law firm which specializes in suing pharmaceutical companies.  But not all the Democrats were mean to him; Sheldon Whitehouse (RI) says he'll vote to confirm because they're law school buds.  As good a reason as any.


Did you know the Biden administration sent $50 million to Gaza to buy condoms?  Neither did anyone else, but like the Big Northwest Faucet it has become a trending lie of the Leader's regime.  I assume it's like Mad Libs, picking words from two columns.  They gave tennis rackets to Libya.  They gave iPhones to MS-13.  It's fun and MAGAts lap it up like raw milk.  

Every poll indicates that Elon Musk is less popular among Americans than root canal, so The Leader made a special effort to polish the turd and trash Biden at the same time.  (He's a busy man, those Constitutional protections won't kneecap themselves.)  


(I'm sorry, I've watched this moron grab English by the pussy for a decade and I still need to know why the scare-quotes around "go get."  I don't expect an answer.)

The astronauts, Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, were supposed to return in December but SpaceX couldn't get its musk shit together.  Next time, definitely.  For sure.  Nothing to do with the rocket that went boom at its launch two weeks ago.  Everything is fine.  "Terrible that the Biden administration left them there so long."  Whatever you say, Captain Apartheid.

Not at all wasteful of government money.  Not like paying pensions to government employees, three million of whom are being offered a buy-out if they quit now and make room for loyal apparatchiks (or no one at all).  

The traditional hundred days' honeymoon that all presidents get has not materialized for The Leader.  The media's pathetic prostration of itself is not being picked up by the country at large, according to a Reuters-Ipsos poll.  It shows 45% approval (down from 47%) and 46% disapproval (up from 39%).  He's never even hit 50-50.  Karoline Leavitt will need to skate like Kristi Yamaguchi to spin this "mandate."

Today in pissy-pants news, Greasy Pete has cancelled General Mark Milley's security detail and clearance, and has ordered the DoD's inspector general (they still have one? must be an oversight) to look into reducing his rank (and pension, of course).  

To end on a hopeful note, The Leader wants his new Air Force One NOW NOW NOW!  So Boeing is teaming up with SpaceX to get the engine parts faster.  What could go wrong?  Mmmmm.....

 With Trump and his silk pajamas in recess, the political story of the day must be  Robert F.
