Gut feelings

In recordings he apparently posted on SoundCloud, Shamsud-Din Jabbar denounces all kinds of "things that God has made forbidden to us, the intoxicants like marijuana, alcohol, sedatives, opioids, stimulants and others," but he makes it clear that music is one of the things his God hates most.  It "entices us to illicit sex, vulgarity, violence, betrayal, arrogance, burglary, ingratitude to our spouses or others in general."  Sounds like a man who's been through a couple of bad breakups.  It's not surprising that he chose to act out his belief system in New Orleans, where American music was born.

The FBI says Jabbar was a "lone wolf" with no connection to Islamic State or even to the Las Vegas truck bomber, but those guys are always constrained by "facts" which are, as Reagan told us, stupid things.  Listen instead to smart guy and future Border Czar Tom Homan (yes, Trumpomuskovia has a czar).  Asked if he had any evidence that the Vegas attack was linked to terrorism, Homan replied, "No, I don't.  This is a gut feeling."  His gut follows the Leader's assertion, while the bodies still lay in the street, that Jabbar entered America from our "wide open Border" and not by driving across the Texas-Louisiana state line.  Brains, even the worm-infested kind, are no longer wanted.  Guts rule.

Clearly the Leader needs no advice -- he has a new hat that says TRUMP WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING, available in MAGA shops everywhere -- but Michael Waltz has been nominated for national security adviser and he too says closing the border is essential to "secure our sovereignty."  I didn't know it was being questioned.  Some people are even asserting it over places like Greenland and Canada.  You'll be astonished to hear that Lindsey Graham 1. agrees and 2. blames the media for reporting Jabbar's attack as a crime and not part of the "war on terrorism."  Meanwhile John Faux-Redneck Kennedy was on Fox News doing his best to cause panic.  Asked if he could "sense" attacks in other cities he replied, "I can't answer that.  I can, but I won't."  Because I'd have to kill you is how that trope goes.  Meanwhile he's walking around New Orleans dressed like your cousin who spends too much time at the VFW post.

The subject of real foreign terrorism came up in a New York courtroom when Rudolph Giuliani tried to be excused from coming to court to be examined by attorneys for Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman because of "lung issues" he suddenly developed twenty-two years after the 9/11 attacks.  "I was at ground zero as often, if not more, than most of the workers," he said in Cincinnati, where he managed to travel.  "I was exposed to exactly the same things they were exposed to, so in that sense, I'm one of them."  Hundreds of first responders have since died or been permanently disabled by their injuries, but the symptoms experienced by America's Mayor are unique:  dishonesty to the point of disbarment, a compulsive need to defame repeatedly two innocent women, dubious use of the bankruptcy process, aiding and abetting the Leader's attempt to overturn the 2020 election and all-around sleazy behavior.  His lung issues have not impeded his work for Cameo or the podcast where he hawks cigars and other products.  Judge Lewis Liman wasn't having it and told him to get his lungs and his ass to court today or be held in contempt.

Despite Senator Kennedy's secrecy, we are learning more about Matthew Livelsberger, the active-duty Green Beret who detonated a Tesla in Las Vegas.  According to his uncle Dean, he was a "hundred percent patriot" who "loved the Army."  "He loved Trump and he was always a very, very patriotic soldier."  Dean Livelsberger was puzzled by the amateurish nature of the explosive devices -- he thought his nephew had the skills to "obliterate half of that hotel" as Timothy McVeigh, another veteran, did to the Murrah Building in Oklahoma City.  According to the coroner, Matt shot himself in the head just before detonation.  A former girlfriend, Alicia Arritt, says he suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2019 but "it's not acceptable to seek [mental help] treatment when someone is in Special Forces."

Ryan Walters, the Oklahoma official in charge of replacing public education with Christian indoctrination, has his own theory and he's not interested in your facts:  "You have schools that are teaching kids to hate their country...you have the teachers unions pushing this on our kids, the radical left wants people to hate this country.  That's why we're getting back to the basics in Oklahoma..."  If it turns out Livelsberger went to a school with unionized teachers, I guess Walters might be onto something.  Are unions even God's will?

Yaneliz Munguia was shot in the head by a stray bullet in Allapattah, Florida, apparently by "celebratory gunfire" to celebrate the new year.  She was ten years old.  Something like this happens every year.  Once it was a baby who was shot during a church service.  It's especially popular in the South.  I keep telling them -- if you celebrate every holiday with fireworks, Jeff Davis's birthday won't be special anymore.
