 Seize the Grey just won, easily, the 149th Preakness Stakes despite a sloppy track and the handicap of being trained by a man who will soon turn 88.  Surely that's too old for anything but sitting on the porch.  D. Wayne Lucas doesn't even know where he is!  Probably hopped up on something.  Let's ask this urologist at the two-dollar window.  Yes, sarcasm.  You saw right through me.

In other sporting news, golf has a new bad boy.  Scottie Scheffler only had three hours to make his tee time for the second round of the PGA championship in Louisville, so he ignored orders to stop for police investigating an accidental fatality at the front gate.  One thing led to another, you know how it is, and soon Scheffler was being charged with assault on a police officer and other things.  He's number one in the world so they rushed him right through booking and he teed off on time.  What a relief.

"If Arizona authorities can't find me by tomorrow morning 1. They must dismiss the indictment; 2. They must concede they can't count votes," Rudolph Giuliani tweeted from his 80th birthday party.  But they can count votes and they did find you.  Consider yourself served in the fake-elector case (conspiracy, fraud, forgery).  Drink up and try to find a lawyer a shade less dumb than yourself.


David Hosier has been hospitalized with atrial fibrillation.  He may need a pacemaker.  Otherwise folks in Missouri will be disappointed, because Hosier is scheduled to be executed on June 11. 

Awwww...a cat named Max Dow has been given an honorary degree -- doctor of "litter-ature" -- by Vermont State University in recognition of his work in keeping the campus rodent-free.  Couldn't you just hawk up a hairball?

Gaza, Ukraine, Haiti -- New Caledonia?  The tiny island is broken out in riots and looting, as the French parliament voted to change election laws.  Indigenous people who favor independence say that allowing non-indigenous residents to vote will dilute their influence.  France may send troops.  It's easy to forget that fragments of the French Empire are still around, and that France apparently wants to keep them.

And finally, we have an undisputed heavyweight champion for the first time in twenty-five years!  Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury in a fight recognized by the WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF, AFL and CIO.  Slava Ukraini!

 With Trump and his silk pajamas in recess, the political story of the day must be  Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.,  sharing the story that a worm crawled into his brain, ate some of it and died.  The New York Times says it obtained a deposition from his 2012 divorce case and came across this nugget.  At the time of the parasite's discovery, doctors said he also had mercury poisoning, probably from eating a lot of fish.  In the deposition Kennedy says, "I have short-term memory loss and I have longer-term memory loss that affects me."  At least he doesn't blame the worm on vaccines.  Even before his stalking horse earned the nickname Worm Brain, things were going Trump's way.  His boutique judge  Aileen Cannon  postponed indefinitely the stolen documents case that mean old Jack Smith is waiting to present because she has to study eight pending motions from the defense and she's just stumped by their  "novel and difficult questions." ...
