News that won't surprise you
Those of us who struggle with Russian novels will have to learn a new name. Anton Postolnikov, described as a Russian-American businessman, is under investigation by the FBI and Department of Homeland Security. He runs a shell company called ES Family Trust, which has an account with Paxum Bank in Dominica, which specializes in financial services to the porn industry. Got all that? The investigators are intrigued because in 2022 ES made emergency loans to Trump Media, keeping it solvent long enough to go public last month. Postolnikov is the nephew of Alexander Smirnov, a pal of Putin's, not to be confused with Alexander Smirnov the FBI snitch, currently jailed in California for lying while snitching, another disappointing witness in the Biden impeachment implosion.
Let's take a breath.
Postolnikov has not been charged with a crime, such as money laundering or insider trading, two possibilities mentioned in the Guardian story. Needless to say, a Trump lawyer is already shouting "Hoax!" the traditional response to all Russia revelations, and threatening legal action. It could be a Trump lawyer, or possibly AI does this now. Paxum Bank, Caribbean, porn, Jeffrey Epstein? Just talking to myself.
Laken Riley already forgotten, Trump helped himself to another murder victim last night in Grand Rapids. Ruby Garcia was allegedly killed by her boyfriend, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico. He decided she was "an incredible young woman" whose family "said she had this most contagious laughter, and when she walked into a room, she lit up that room -- I heard that from so many people. I spoke to some of her family." The usual, except "he did not speak with any of us," according to her sister Mavi Garcia. She went on, "It's always been about illegal immigrants. Nobody really speaks about when Americans do heinous crimes and it's kind of shocking why he would just bring up illegals." Not really. He's been doing it since 2015 at least.
Then he went to Green Bay and proclaimed election day "Christian Visibility Day" in an effort to freshen up the lie that Biden ruined Easter by stealing it for the transgendered. By tomorrow it will be "Why are Christians (and Catholics) not allowed to celebrate the Resurrection?" Like Trump, American Christians are treated worse than Abraham Lincoln.
Today in election fraud news -- yep, another Republican. But is it really fraud if you did it to help your husband? Jeremy Taylor was elected to the Woodbury County, Iowa, board of supervisors in 2020. His wife Kim Taylor was very supportive, as reflected in her conviction for 23 counts of fraudulent voting and three counts of fraudulent registration. She could have received a 260-year sentence but the judge decided on four months of prison followed by another four of house arrest -- because of her "community standing" and child care obligations. There is no picture but I'll bet she doesn't look anything like Crystal Mason.
By coincidence Peter Navarro also got four months for contempt of Congress and after just two weeks he Does Not Like It. Turned down by John Roberts, he has now petitioned Neil Gorsuch for early release because his appeal will be heard after the four months are up. Seven more to go. Try Thomas. Really, why did you not start there?
Second generation grift: Australians who bought tickets to see Junior Trump last year say they're still waiting for their refunds. Hold your tickets, he may show up after all! Massive amounts of cocaine continue to wash up on the beaches of New South Wales, some of them labeled Tesla. Tesla?
Is the Biden administration doing enough to combat the Chinese Communist Party? What about the origins of covid-19? Liquefied natural gas exports? How exactly did John Podesta become their climate envoy? Could Willow the White House cat be an al Qaeda operative? These and other questions are keeping James Comer and his Comettes up at night, and they are flooding the executive branch with completely serious demands for information and more information. "Criminal referrals" are promised, Comer having decided the entire Biden family (including Willow) is irredeemably corrupt if he could only uncover that pesky evidence. Is cat food coming out of the federal appropriation for the White House? Gotcha!
Did I say Tesla? Must be because the completely non-cocaine-related auto company's sales declined by twenty percent in the first quarter of the year. Poor service and a confusing interior are cited (apparently people don't like having to deal with a touchscreen while driving), but that can't be the problem according to mega-brained billionaire Elon Mush, who chose to blame "woke" executives at the Disney Corporation. John Roberts, the Fox News reporter and not the Chief Justice who sent Navarro to jail, confusing names today!) demanded to know why the Biden administration is forcing Americans to buy electric cars from everyone but Tesla when nobody wants an EV in the first place. Secretary Buttigieg had to straighten him out. Mush is sure the problem is Houthis attacking ships in the Red Sea. You knew his sales figures would be Biden's problem eventually, didn't you? I have no idea how Disney comes into it.
Parler, the platform used to plan the January 6 coup attempt, seems to be shut down, yet as of yesterday they were giving away a free Trump switchblade. An offer too good to pass up! May be illegal where you live. For now.
