 Today is International Women's Day according to whoever arranges these things.  One day out of 366 feels sadly right.

Cheese.  Before you scold, recall that Prime Minister David Cameron once left his eight-year-old daughter behind in a pub, and he wasn't wrangling ten kids at a birthday party.  It happens.  Everyone is fine.

Trump is on Snapchat, kids, and he had fun using the filters on Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.  No, not a bit demented.  Very statesmanlike, actually.


It's a good thing MAGAworld have the memory capacity of goldfish.  In 2020 Trump promised, "As far as TikTok is concerned, we're banning them from the United States."  He has changed his mind because he hates Facebook and "Zuckerschmuck" even more than Jyna:  "They are a true Enemy of the People."  Senile?  Certainly not.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson of Sweden, the newest member of NATO, was a guest at last night's State of the Union free-for-all.  When you describe our government rituals to the Swedes, sir, please be kind.

Not at all funny:  Five people in coastal Gaza were killed and ten more were injured when the parachute on a pallet of aid failed to open and it fell on a group of people desperate for food.  This is no good.  Get that Mulberry harbor up and running as soon as possible.  Even when we try to help these people we seem to be unable to avoid harming them.

Still alive

 The story so far...on the night of September 26 Hurricane Helene ignored the projections and thundered past Georgia, knocking out electricity.  Power was restored late on the afternoon of September 29, but internet took considerably longer.  Today we gave up on Comcast and shelled out for one of those AT&T hotspot deals, and just like that...well, I feel like Sweeney Todd ("At last, my arm is complete again!").  Thanks to MarkS for your words of concern.   I've spent the last four hours trying to catch up.  I can't decide whether two weeks without internet, cable and even radio has been a vacation or a nightmare.  My impression is that everything is the same only more so, politically speaking, possibly a little more surreal.  Are people really refusing FEMA aid because the cult has convinced them it's a plot to a. channel money to cat-eating Haitians, b. a plot to disguise the Democrats' control of the weather, or c. a plot to distract e...
